Grading

One of the first things any concrete contractor needs to do is the grading of the land at the location of the construction. The grading process needs to be done with pin point accuracy in order to properly perform almost any of the other concrete and contractor services we provide. The first step is to survey the land. This includes determining property boundaries, if there are regulations and permits to adhere to, and start with general measurements. This is followed by assessing any land clearing. This includes noting trees, stumps, vegetation, any existing structures if there for us to remove as a demolition contractor, investigating the subgrade and soil on site to determine build suitability, as well as establishing the clearest and most optimal path for extracting all of the above mentioned things needed to be removed from the property. We then separate fill material and begin leveling the land. Once the land is leveled and compacted, we then determine the final grading for specifications of the project.

Concrete Pads

A concrete pad is simply a concrete slab foundation that spreads point loads of the soil safely. A concrete pad is the sturdy ground that lasting structures are confidently built on. For example, many houses are built on pads. Once the land is leveled and graded as described above, the concrete pad is then ready to be placed. This is achieved by reinforcing the concrete or making the concrete deeper according to the specific building on the foundation which also makes it much stronger. Reinforced concrete is the emplacement of steel bars, rods, or mesh in the concrete to work together as extra resistance against outside forces that could otherwise crack or move shallow concrete alone.
